Full-time(Nontenured)
Full-time (non-tenured) 1 year contract [from April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020] (renewable annually up to 9 times for a total of 10 years) Please note that renewal up to nine times may not be possible if the teacher reaches the mandatory retirement age of 65.
※Yearly contract renewals are based upon a review of annual achievements and contributions.

[Qualifications]
The applicant should:
1. Have a master's degree, preferably in the field of English education or applied linguistics
2. Have at least two publications in the area of English communication or English reading or English writing (research paper, conference proceedings, etc.) published after April 2010
3. Have teaching experience at the university level
4. Be a native English speaker or have an excellent command of English
5. Have a level of fluency in Japanese including basic literacy required to carry out administrative duties(The applicant does not necessarily have to understand Japanese administrative documents, but should have someone who can help them if the applicant does not understand)
6. Be willing to follow a standardized curriculum
7. Teach and undertake research enthusiastically, and contribute to Meijo University by working with its teaching and administrative staff cooperatively for its further development
8. Be willing to reside within Nagoya or adjacent cities

* If you already have your resume and a list of your research and scholarly activities (not on the designated form), please submit them as well
* The successful candidate will be required to submit a further resume for employment in Japanese after they are selected (designated form)

3. Copy of two publications in the area of English communication, English reading or English writing published after April 2010 (two copies for each publication)
4. Essay in English describing how you would contribute to Meijo University in the fields of education and research (one side of an A4-sized sheet)
5. Copy of your highest degree earned
6. For non-native English speakers, a copy of a certificate which shows your English proficiency (such as TOEFL and IELTS), if available

Stage 1: Document screening
Stage 2: Interview and short demo lesson (scheduled for November 24, 2018 at Nagoya Dome-Mae Campus, Meijo University)

* Short-listed candidates who pass the document screening will be contacted around October 31, 2018, and asked to come to Meijo University for an interview and short demo lesson. Please note that the applicant should bear the cost of travel and accommodation.
* All applicants will be notified of their application results.
